Description
The Cancer Support Community project consisted of interior and exterior renovations in two historic buildings and the surrounding campus in Fairmount Park. Renovations included new mechanical and electrical upgrades and new, modern finishes while maintaining the historic fabric and character of the buildings.
NorthStar's role as project manager was to oversee construction activities, budget, schedule and coordination with other CSC vendors. In addition to communication and oversight with the contractors, NorthStar interacted regularly with the architect, engineers, client vendors and the Fairmount Park Historic Trust. NorthStar also acted as the client facilitator for the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant, which included interaction with the PIDC and other State of Pennsylvania appointed agencies.
